It was junior high school, I was about to go home after an exhausted long day. As usual, I was waiting for the bus alone and wondering I should watch TV or do the homework first. Then, something special caught my eye. It was a black wallet. Out of curiosity, I picked it up and checked it for a second. There were three thousand dollars inside and some certificates. I was stunned and I had no idea what I was supposed to do. At the same time, the bus came over. I spontaneously got up the bus. On my way home, all I was thinking about is that wallet. Three thousand dollars was not a small money, I could use it to buy lots of things I was dreaming of.
On the other aspect, I knew the man losing his wallet now must be desperate. I asked myself, if I were him, how anxious and helpless I would be. I just couldn't imagine. I got off the bus and wandered without destination. Finally, I bravely made up my decision. I walked to the police office near my home. When I passed over the black wallet to the officer, he praised me for the honesty. At that very moment, I felt relieved. Stepping out of the office, I could breathe naturally without any guilty. I knew I had done the right thing, although a little bit pity, but I didn't regret at all.

But you never found out if the owner claimed the wallet?
