LAB 5

I like LAB class because using computer to learn English is really cool! Teacher Simon often introduces some interesting websites or materials to us that can help us to learn English. One thing that I remember about that day is that Simon told us to get some information of one issue from his list. I chose to search the information of THE Stephen Lawrence murder which is an incident of racial violence.

I found this incident from BBC A & Q. Stephen Lawrence, the victim, was killed in a completely unprovoked racist attack by five white youths at a bus stop near his home in Eltham, south-east London in April 1993. To tell the truth, I was shocked when I first saw this incident, because the victim was killed when he was 18-year-old that is my age now. I can’t even think about I die in such a young age.

Another thing we did in the LAB class is that we had a small test which is about what decision we will make in some real-life situations to test us if we can become a great police officer such as gun Crime, abandoned cars or vandalism. In the end, I got high score in the exam. Even I don’t want to be a police officer, these knowledge can still help us when we are in danger.
