The most honest thing I have ever done

Being honest seems to be an important thing. It seems to be one of the common moral values that the most people have. We are educated to be honest since we are young as a kindergarten kid. What is really tricky is that it seems like actually people lie in their daily life so often. I saw an interesting statement on the internet said that, “the history of telling lies is just as long as the history of human beings.” It may seem to be a little bit too exaggerative, but actually it’s quite true.
Instead of telling some negative things, I think I’ll just talk about things that are positive anyway. I’ll like to talk about the most honest thing I have ever done. I can still remember it was a wonderful but tiring night since Yun and I had stood for about four or five hours in a concert of a band that we both like. We were exciting to see the band members, so we even stayed after the concert just to get their signature. In the end, it was really late at night.
When we got back to school, there were already no buses driving to the dorm anymore. legs of we both were really sore, we really didn’t want to get back to our dorm by walking because it was really far. We were thinking about telling the guards to drive us to the dorm.[Guards in our school will give you a drive if you get back to school late with a “suitable” reason.(P.S: Of course not the reason like, ”We went to a concert so we got back so late.”) ] We couldn’t tell the guards that we got back late because we went to a concert if we wanted them to give us a drive. Actually even if we told them fake but suitable reason they won’t know that it was a lie. We really didn’t want to tell a lie so in the end we walk back to our dorm. It was so tiring but made us feel comfortable. We are actually not good at lying and it would have made us acted really strange and uneasy when go talking to the guards.
