The most dishonest thing I have ever done

The most dishonest I have ever done was lying to my mom that I went to a library to study but actually I didn’t do. When I was in senior high school, before a midterm examination, and I should study hard to prepare the exam, but sometimes I didn’t want to study and felt bored. When a midterm exam was coming, my mom would prompt me to study hard and get good grade, but sometimes I didn’t have any interest to study, and I wanted to get away from my mom’s overseeing. Therefore, I would told my mom that I wanted to go to a library to study, when my mom heard the name of the library, she would let me went out the home, because she believed me I would go to a library to study hard. Actually, when I went out the home, I didn’t, go to study, I always went to bookstores or a library to read comic books and novels.

In the evening I went home, I would lie to my mom that I study very hard in the library, and she would very glad and make a big dinner for me. When I ate the dinner which made hardly by my mom, I always felt guilty and unhappy to lie to her. Therefore, I didn’t want to felt that guilty any more, one day I told her the truth. Surprisingly my mom didn’t feel angry and forgave me, and also understood that sometime I may not want to study was normal. She also agreed me that when I study tired and bored I can take a rest, but I couldn’t give up study. In the end, I had great gratitude to my mom’s forgiveness and understanding, and I vowed to not lie to my mom again.

  1. Good decision! I'm sure your mother is happy to cook a nice dinner for you anyway.
